Important Procedures and Care at Temporary Isolation Unit (TIU)

• As soon as the TIU receives the suspected traveler ensure the suspect cover his/her mouth and nose with face mask.
• The health care provider should check the temperature and other status of the suspected case and provide care as needed.
• Fill the detailed travelers’ health screening form and send to the surveillance team immediately.
• Call the Rapid Response Team (Ambulance team).
• Take sample for COVID-19 testing.
• Transfer the suspected case and the packed wastes to the ambulance.
• Transport the suspected case to Treatment Unit or home-based isolation.
• Disinfect, secure and pack the waste with biohazard bag. 
  
• Disinfect all the potential risk areas and equipment and passenger’s belonging.
• Keep the suspect’s belonging to the designated room.
