B. Estimating Injection and Safety Devices

• Auto Disable (AD) syringe/needles and Mixing syringes needed will be calculated considering indicative wastage rate (WR) of 5% (waste factor: 1.05).
• Two syringes per target for AD syringes and one mixing syringe per vial.

EXAMPLE: 2

AD syringe requirement: target population (22,417,546 ) X 2 AD syringes X 1.05 (5% WR) = 47,076,846 each. 

Mixing syringe requirement: # of COVID-19 vaccine vials (5,290,540) X 1 mixing syringe X 1.05 (WR 5%)

Total number of Mixing syringe needed = 5,555,067 each
