Reverse Logistics and When to Use It
- Reverse logistics is the process of retrieving unused vaccines either to dispose or reuse.
- Possible reasons to conduct reverse logistics:
- Need to re-allocate vaccines to higher-risk areas based on latest epidemiological information.
- Return of unused vaccine to higher-level store at the end of vaccination campaign (if relevant).
- During the temporary pause of the vaccination campaign for any reason.
