Triage Process

• This step is to sort out COVID-19 suspected cases into those with moderate to severe illness requiring hospitalization and those with mild or no symptoms eligible for home-based isolation and care.
• Give the COVID-19 suspected client a medical mask, instruct to practice respiratory and hand hygiene.
• Isolate patients suspected for COVID-19 in separate waiting area and instruct them to avoid movements within the facility.
• Health care workers have to wear a gown, gloves, medical mask and eye protection when examining patients.
• Use dedicated patient equipment when possible, (such as stethoscopes) or disinfect after using for each patient.
