Clinical Signs and Symptoms

Management Approaches

  • Respiratory failure, septic shock, and/or multiple organ dysfunctions (MOD) or failure (MOF) and it needs invasive or special management.
  • Severe forms of the following diseases requiring advanced management namely: Pulmonary embolism, stroke, and myocardial infarction are recently described in COVID-19patients.
  • Admit to Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Assess the Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, and Exposure (ABCDE) and act accordingly
  • Follow the recommendations of severe cases on the use of antibiotics.
  • Follow recommendations of severe cases on oxygen supplementation
  • Any patient with severe respiratory failure not responding to non-invasive modes of respiratory support require invasive endotracheal intubation for Mechanical Ventilation
