- Isolation refers to simply separation of COVID-19 confirmed patients from other people in the household.
- The purpose of isolation is to prevent transmission of COVID-19 infection to the other members of the household.
- COVID-19 confirmed patients should remain isolated from other members of the household throughout the duration of their illness.
- Isolation of COVID-19 confirmed patients includes:
- Restriction of movement and staying at home all the time
- Physically distancing from other members of the household by isolating themselves at a separate room or maintaining a distance of 2 meters if a separate room is not available.
- Eating apart from other members of the household and using separate eating utensils.
