What are symptoms of COVID-19 mild illness?
- Majority of COVID-19 patients present with no or mild symptoms.
- When considering patients for home-based isolation and care, the decision will be made based on the severity of the symptoms.
- Mild COVID-19 illness suitable for home-based isolation and care usually presents with symptoms of uncomplicated upper respiratory tract infection that include:
- Fever
- Fatigue
- Cough - with or without sputum production
- Loss of appetite
- Malaise
- Muscle pain
- Some people with mild COVID-19 illness may develop other nonspecific symptoms like:
- Sore throat
- Nasal congestion
- Headache
- Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
- Loss of smell and taste
