IPC Recommendations for the Patient for HBIC

• Stay in a separate room from other family members but if not possible wear a mask and keep a distance of at least 2 meters from other people.
• Clean hands as frequently as possible with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
• Use dedicated eating and drinking utensils which will be cleaned with soap and water after use.
• When coughing or sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or use disposable tissue and discard in waste bag with cover. 
  
• Wear a face mask appropriately when sharing a room or in close contact with the caregiver or household members.
