Why Do We Need to Be Thorough?

Hand washing should cover all parts of the hands to eliminate micro-organisms that potentially cause infections:

• Wash hands thoroughly to cover all areas of the hand.
• Wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• Use disposable paper towels or single use towel or air for drying.
