Airborne Precaution

• Aerosol-generating procedures have been associated with an increased risk of transmission of coronaviruses (SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV)
• Procedures such as tracheal intubation, non-invasive ventilation, tracheotomy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, manual ventilation before intubation, and bronchoscopy
• Ensure that HCWs performing aerosol-generating procedures are in an  adequately-ventilated room (natural ventilation or in negative pressure rooms) and use N95 respirators 
• Limit number of persons in the room to the absolute minimum required for the patient’s care and support
