Waste management

• Students must have adequate orientation on proper waste handling and disposal techniques.
• Waste bins with lids should be available throughout the school compound and if possible, in each class.
• Class rooms must be cleaned after each shift and waste must be removed daily and disposed of safely.
• Damaged masks and other person protective equipment (PPE) materials should be disposed in closed containers.
• When handling waste, appropriate PPE such as rubber gloves must be used.
• The wastes collected must be incinerated or disposed of in pits.
