Cleaning and Disinfection

• Frequently touched surfaces must be cleaned and disinfected with 70% alcohol or 0.5% chlorine solution (i.e. 1-part bleach or “Berekina” mixed in 9 parts water). These include:
• Door handles,
• Desks, toys,
• Supplies,
• Light switches, and
• Door frames.
• To clean the classroom, prepare 200 ml of 5% chlorine solution (Berkina) per shift for 5 school days.
• Cleaning with disinfectants shall take place after each shift.
• Spraying with disinfectants is not required or recommended for routine cleaning.
