Laboratory Testing in Schools

• Suspected cases with mild symptoms will generally not be tested - exceptions to this include if the suspected case has underlying health conditions or is above 60 years old.
• Suspected cases with moderate or severe symptoms will be eligible for testing.
• Samples will be collected at the health facility where they are receiving care.
• In the context of schools, recovery will be determined by resolving symptoms and repeat tests will generally not be performed to confirm a patient’s recovery status.
