Rapid Response Team (RRT)

The RRT is:

• Multidisciplinary
• Interdisciplinary team
• Essential for a comprehensive response to an alert case and should be ready 24/7
• Trained and equipped
• Ready to be deployed rapidly
• Able to respond efficiently and effectively
• Coordinated with other response efforts

Any RRT member could do surveillance activities:

• Coordinator/lead
• Epidemiologists
• Clinician/IPC expert
• Data manager
• Laboratory personnel 
• Environmental health officer
• Health educator /counsellor 
• Logistician
