Definition of contact
- A contact of a COVID-19 case is a person not currently presenting with symptoms but, who has, or may have been in contact with a probable or confirmed COVID-19 case during the 2 days before and the 14 days after the onset of symptoms
- The associated risk of infection depends on the level of exposure
- Establishing the level of exposure can be difficult and requires the COVID-19 case to be interviewed by an experienced Epidemiologist
- There are two types of contacts, close contact and casual contact
