STEP 1 : Primary Survey - ABCDE

A - Airway with c- spine control
B - Breathing with oxygen supplementation
C - Circulation with bleeding control and fluid management
D - Disability with assessment level of consciousness, glucose and pupil reaction
E - Exposure and temperature control

STEP 2: SAMPLE History

S  Signs and Symptoms

A  Allergies

M  Medications

P  Past medical history

L  Last meal ( Ins and Outs)

E  Events leading to illness or injury

STEP 3: Secondary Examination

Thorough head to Toe physical examination to identify further complications or injuries
