Assessment

• Remove all clothing
• Examine entire body for evidence of injury 
• Assess the patient's back and spine using the log-roll manoeuvre.

Management

• If spinal injury is suspected, perform log roll manoeuvre to examine the back
• Remove restricting clothing and all jewellery
• Protect the patient’s spine during exposure
• Cover the patient as soon as possible to prevent hypothermia
• Respect the patient and protect their modesty during exposure
