Bleeding under the skin in the neck area is increasing
- People who initially appear relatively well may have hidden life-threatening injuries, such as internal bleeding
- It is very important to re-assess trauma patients frequently using the Primary Survey (The ABCDE's)
- Vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation) should be performed after the Primary Survey
- Do not delay Primary Survey interventions for vital signs
