• People who initially appear relatively well may have hidden life-threatening injuries, such as internal bleeding
• It is very important to re-assess trauma patients frequently using the Primary Survey (The ABCDE's)
• Vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation) should be performed after the Primary Survey
• Do not delay Primary Survey interventions for vital signs
