Community gate keepers are people within the community but have the ability to influence the decision making, that can affect maternal and child health. Even though mothers and children are our main targets for postnatal care service, the community get keepers should be involved in our activities. These are for instance

• Administrators of the kebele or village.

• Religious leaders.
  
• Traditional birth attendants.
  
• Farmers' association leaders.
  
• Leaders of kebele women's associations
  
• Village drug vendors are among the main ones.
